★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Posto magico.... un bosco incantato con quest'albero di faggio grande accanto a questa "trofa" come viene appunto chiamata.... questo gruppo di alberi di faggio in cerchio fra di loro danno uno spettacolo della bellezza della natura.....ed ascoltare il silenzio attorno vi farà sentire come abbracciati proprio dagli alberi stessi.....
Magical place .... an enchanted forest with this large beech tree next to this "trophy" as it is called .... this group of beech trees in a circle between them give a spectacle of the beauty of nature .. ... and listening to the silence around will make you feel as if embraced by the trees themselves .....

Splendid specimen of secular beech, the peculiarity consists in the semicircular shape of the stump. Easy to reach, not far from a wide road that goes into the woods.

I racconti narrano di un uomo che prendendosi cura di questo "cespuglio", da cui il nome siciliano "trofa", fu trovato esamine ai suoi piedi.
Bellissimo in estate ma in autunno, con i suoi colori, rende ancora di più!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un posto che non conoscevo, da visitare e facile da raggiungere. Basta percorrere per 20 minuti la strada, tutta dritta e senza dislivello. Meglio in primavera o in estate se si è sprovvisti di particolare equipaggiamento. L'albero è un fagus sylvatica ed ha una circonferenza di 15,5 metri ed un'altezza di 18 metri.
A place I did not know, to visit and easy to reach. Just walk the road for 20 minutes, all straight and with no difference in height. Better in spring or summer if you do not have special equipment. The tree is a fagus sylvatica and has a circumference of 15.5 meters and a height of 18 meters.
