E	Erin Martens on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Simple, no frills food, with a great Florentine steak and a nice house Chianti. The pasta was very basic, not as good as others we had in Florence. Service was great. Make a reservation or come early.

The Bistecca Florentina was incredible and my wife's Butter Chicken is a now family legend. We shared a table with some locals that spoke as much English as we speak Italian and we had the best time drinking wine and talking with our hands. Don't miss this place. Best meal I think we've ever had - anywhere.

I work in food and beverage and have had some INCREDIBLE experiences with food everywhere from backyard bbq to tasting menus at Michelin starred restaurants. Our night at Sostanza might’ve been my favorite ever. People rave about the butter chicken for good reason, it’s perfect. But everything else we had was just as good, right down to the cup of chicken stock we got because if you’re bold enough to sell that by itself I’ve got to see why. Bonkers. Crazy delicious. I get it now. Along the same lines, the dessert I added a picture of. Just some raspberries and wild strawberries with red wine tossed over. It was perfect. Well sourced ingredients thoughtfully assembled. The service was maybe even better. It’s a small space and you’re close to your neighbors. The team there made everyone feel right at home and took care of us like we were the center of their world. It was a flawless night. I can’t really say anything more accurate than that. Bless this place.
I	Iouliani Pispa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Let's start with the only good thing. How the meat was cooked. For 65€ a steak, thankfully it was tasty. Did I mention the side potatoes were 7€ extra? Or that the bread which we didn't ask for was another 8€ and 3 days old at least? The bottled still water was never opened in front of us and it was actually filled with tap. Asked for a quarter of a wine and got a half literally. The waiter was too bored to serve us and honestly I would be very happy if I left without paying. Overall, 100€ down the drain.

There is a sign on the window but be sure remember. We had a green salad that was dressed perfectly. The butter pasta was a bit over priced at €10 for buttered noodles. The steak Florentine was great. Cooked perfectly
