The polenta not like we prefere.
But the price for what you get is reasonable.

1st Taste was awful like chloride (was only fresh water from the water tao)
We complained it
No words and the waiter brought an unopened bottle and this tastes as it should taste.
Not the best start...

β β β β β Whomever gave this place anything less than 5 stars, doesn't know food or came with the previous chef. This is among the best restaurants in Venice. From service to food. Absolutely top quality and flavor.
Do yourself a favor and taste the almond cake.

β β β β β Finally had terrible "tourist" food, and Antica Torre was the "trap". Came here at night, the place looked nice with a decent ambiance. However the bread was stale, tougher to chew than shoe leather. The food I ordered had the single flavor of tomato and nothing more. The lasagna had the mono-taste of "cheese". The most disappointing aspect was the service. Servers tried to rush us to order and only showed up to drop off the food and bill. The staff missed the most basic hospitality standards with us, and never ONCE came buy to ask how anything was going. I would have loved to order a beer but never got the chance; though the staff floated around other tables like butterflies. The complementary wine was added to the bill as a blank β¬5 charge, until we brought it up and had it removed.
Without a doubt, I felt like a number and not a guest at Antica Torre. As a tourist, you have hundreds of other restaurants in the immediate area where you can spend your money while you're in Venice; don't let my mistake be yours.

β β β β β Pizza was very average, if not to say disappointing for Italian standards. The house wine is decent. Service is friendly. We didnβt get a proper bill which also seems fishy.

To start, it took very long to get the drinks brought to us (and the food even longer). When it finally gets there, you can finish your dish while other people still haven't received it. The wait is not worth it, since the food is not great. The taste of the food is bad (the pizzas are basically cardbord) and the menu is badly translated, meaning that you get the wrong stuff delivered. Most of the food look like it was just tossed together, or straight from the refrigerator.
The terrace is also bad, with lights brighter than the sun making your eyes hurt. It does help see the poor quality of the food.
On top of that, they didn't even bring the cutlery and we were lucky to have enough wine glasses. You should not have to ask for this stuff.
I wish to rate it lower but sadly you can't, so stay away.

β β β β β Quick and efficient lunch. We enjoyed the combo lunch and the food was very tasty, really enjoyed the seafood spaghetti. We were the only folks inside the restaurant and the service was also good.

β β β β β These restaurants have suffered because of COVID. What a pleasure to see that the standards are still so high despite the challenges. This place has everything you would expect and hope for from a traditional Venetian. The food was excellent and the service was friendly. Thank you to Luca for making our evening so enjoyable that we went back a second time.
