Trapizzino has amazing food they serve a pizza pocket type sandwich with fillings of meatball, chicken cacciatore, eggplant Parmesan and more. There is one in Rome and Florence, and both locations are great. Well worth a visit you won't be disappointed.

In a short business trip in Firenze I was determined to pass by mercato centrale to get a trapizzino. I lived for 1 year in Rome where they have a Mercato centrale and where I discovered the amazing trapizzino. It was a bit disappointing to see that the taste of Firenze’s trapizzino con polpette al sugo didn’t match the one in Rome... additionally the size was smaller in Firenze.

Fast service, tasty food! Not ordinary recipes and great selection! Recommended. All drinks in the market can be bought in the bar.

Don't even bother trying to find this place inside the Mercator centrale. It is just bread, warmed-up in the oven with a filling full of oil. Nothing special with it.

Cheap and flavorful. The chicken was super tasty and tender, and the bread comes hot and fluffy. Highly recommend to try this. The lady is nice and she gives big portions.

Trapizzino from Trapizzino Mercato Centrale was one of my very favorite things that I ate during my 13-day trip through Italy. The dough is soft and warm on the inside yet crisp and crunchy on the outside. The fillings are just as exciting. My favorite is the eggplant parmigiana-the unctuousness from the eggplant pairs perfectly with the acidity of the marinara and the bite of the shaved parmigiano reggiano on top. I dream of this dish, regularly.

very interesting food! we took the chicken, meatball, beef, and eggplant. everything's nice. the beef sauce is a little salty, but it's okay in general. To find the place, you must go inside the central hall, go to the 2nd floor :)

Delicious! An absolutely improved way to enjoy pizza. The filings are excellent, sometimes innovative, and don't take away from the pizza crust itself which is both crunchy and doughty at the same time. Highly recommend any of their franchises across Italy.
