★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had an amazing dinner here. the Trippa alla fiorentina was a blast. the Risotto ai funghi porcini was perfectly cooked. and the La Nobile (T-bone steak) was superb. it melts in your mouth. very good dining service. i reccomend this place for tourists.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definetly a family restaurant. We noticed a lot of Italian guests were eating here.
Location: in a street, nothing special. Inside is smokey because of the BBQ so make sure you don't mind your clothes to get smelly.
Ambiance: Expect nothing fancy, just local. Lights could be a bit nicer, tables a bit bigger and with 39 degrees outside, some airconditioning could really, but really upgrade this restaurant.
Food: We shared a platter of bufalo mozzarella and for the main a Tbone steak. We got 1.5kg which was way too much for 2 (tip: say upfront you want less, because logically you pay for every gram). Steak was great, juicy.
Price: The prize of our meal was €116 euro, which we think it was not worth it and thereby overpriced. The steak was good, but not worth 85 euro's. The roasted potatoes on the side aswell, the mixed salad is just salad without any dressing.
Overall: Too expensive, ambiance could have been better, food is good, but not worth the price. 3 stars because it's family and they work hard.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ate here for dinner. Antonio was our waiter and he went above and beyond to make our experience a great one. We had the florentine steak and it was one of the best steaks we’ve ever eaten. If you go here you need to get it. It is enough for 2 people with some sides. Ask for Antonio!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have mixed feelings about this place. On one side I had the best steak of my life. On the other hand they charged me double the menu price for it. 82 euros for a steak was way to much and the charged me for the nobile steak not the regular one so it was even more expensive. Totally trusted the staff so didn't look at the receipt till I got back to the hotel.
Honestly feel scammed and even more so sense I tipped the waiter 20 euros. Would have been a five star review other wise but now it's just a word of caution.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Simply outstanding! La Gratella was recommended for our group of 6 by our hotel staff and truly lived up to the expectations. It’s a cozy restaurant with a simple menu, and the food was incredible. The staff went the extra mile to be welcoming, attentive and made us feel at home. Loved the steak served on a grill at the table, risotto, lemon ravioli, pear fondue ravioli and those roasted potatoes! I would go here again when in Florence next.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very friendly greeting at the door. We had to wait a few minutes for table since we had no reservation. The food was really good. We had a couple of pasta dishes as well as the 1.5 kg T-Bone steak. What an experience! Highly recommend this restaurant.
