★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A truly unique place on the world to walk the same stones the ancient greeks and romans walked upon millennia ago. Guided visits are helpful because there's too much to see, but it's also smart to continue the tour on your own at the end to shoot some good pictures, expecially at sunset.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I didn't know about this place (Paestum) when I arrived in Salerno. It is a "must" if you are in Salerno or nearby. You have to take the train to Paestum and walk about 10min to the ruins which are beautiful! The sunset is outstanding!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only €20 for the family to enter and we bought tickets on site. Bring plenty of water if it's sunny out because there's not much shade in the wide open ruins. Info plaques all around help give more details as to what you're looking at. I think having a guide would be worth it as they're usually great at explaining it all and provide more details. Parking to get to the site is easy to find and there are plenty of restaurants around for a meal or just a gelato. Kids enjoyed that the space was open so they could roam while we took more time admiring the temples. Overall a great experience to see Greek ruins in Italy and how they've been preserved. We'll be back to check everything out again.

Make sure to bring a bottle of water, the infrastructure is limited.
Bathrooms only at one side of the park.
Worth downloading the app to hear the explanation of each place inside.
