I would have like to see the gardens but they were closed. Much of the signage was worn and unreadable, thought plenty was perfect. We did the audio tour which gave plenty of information to make up for the signs. Would recommend!

beware of the ten euro rip off when this site is really worth only three €uros as it is charged only when purchased as a combined ticket with the valley of the temples & museum together - the combined ticket option should be the only option mandatory since the two obviously go together and at every other historic site the museum is combined with the archaeological park outside. furthermore if you mistakenly purchased one and not the other, then they are unable to exchange to combined the ticket but instead charge you five extra euros as a result. finally the site is substandard when compared to that of the same archaeological park museums in marsala & in selinute. In short it would be best to skip agrigento all together as a dusty old tourist trap that can be better seen from outside the gates on the roadways surrounding the valley of the temples; and instead head straight to segesta - which is the only site that combines the most complete temple in sicily plus an odeon amphitheater that still functions - all at a third of the price of what you pay in agrigento's valley of the temples or taormina greek theatre. for segesta - the best place to stay is in san vito lo capo or castellammare del golfo and visit riserva naturale dello zingaro - that packs a more powerful punch than anything you're find on the south coast of sicily

Beautiful place! The entrance is hard to find, that can be improved. But the place itself is magical. It is easy to walk along all the historical sights. Be aware to use sunscreen and wear a hat as it can be very hot and there is little to no shadow during the day.

It is hard to describe the mixture of history, landscape and flair in the whole area - you need to experience it for yourself! It is very well organized historic park/ district with guides in 3 languages - Italian, French and English! Step by step / temple by temple you have the opportunity to dive in the history and events that took place thousands of years ago! The parking lots ate more than enough and don't forget to bring water with you, because it is really hot up there in the summer!

The closest to the park entrance (on this side), this temple is the first glimpse into the amazing trip through history you’re about to undertake! There’s a slight climb to the top, but you can take either the stairs or a long ramp. Either way is not strenuous to even β€œmature” people (such as myself). The hill top view alone is worth the walk! You can see all the other temples from here and down to the sea… absolutely lovely!
