The arch itself is not that great, but the historic center of Giovinazzo is certainly worth a visit.

L'omonimo e caratteristico arco forse venne realizzato nel sec. XIV con l'intento di dare alla città antica un ingresso trionfale.
Four military columns from the second century can be admired from the street that connected Brindisi to Benevento, having identical commemorative text of the Roman emperor Nerva Traiano and medieval capitals.
The homonymous and characteristic arch was probably built in the sec. XIV with the intent to give the old city a grand entrance.
