Very important from the cultural and historical point of view, much less from the aesthetic one. It is visited because it is included in the path of the temples. They contribute to the charm of the place, without constituting a further boost to its image.

Pięknie to historia poukładała
A place that makes you realize that the Valley of the Temples is not only Greater Greece, but also a piece of history from other periods. And standing at the funerary niches, on one side you have the Temple of Juno, and on the other (slightly closer) the Temple of Concord. History put it together beautifully

The paleo-Christian necropolis of Agrigento, dated between the 3rd and 6th centuries AD, extends along the hill of the temples, approximately between the temple of Juno and that of Hercules. The wide area of the cemetery is divided into several sectors. In the remains of the stretch of wall between the temple of Juno and that of Concordia, some burials can be seen, called arcosoli due to the presence of an arched niche. The open-air necropolis, with some 130 trapezoidal tombs, excavated in the rock, extends throughout the esplanade that surrounds the Temple of Concordia, up to the area near the access corridor to the largest catacomb in Agrigento, the Fragapane Cave . The underground Catacombs is the Grotta Fragapane is a large communal catacomb, composed of corridors (ambulatories), small burial chambers (cubicles) and round chambers (large burial chambers), created from pre-existing bell-shaped cisterns from the Greek era.
