Essa si può datare intorno al XVI secolo ed era il luogo dove un tempo il Vescovo (accompagnato dai cittadini), si recava in processione da e verso le campagne. Ancora oggi, esso funge da edicola votiva la Domenica delle Palme e durante la festa del Santo Patrono San Gregorio Armeno, che cade il 20 febbraio.
Located at the beginning of the so-called "Nardò villa", a temple in local stone placed at the doors of the town.
It can be dated to around the sixteenth century and was the place where the Bishop (accompanied by the citizens) used to go in procession to and from the countryside. Even today, it acts as a votive shrine on Palm Sunday and during the feast of the Patron Saint San Gregorio Armeno, which falls on February 20th.

The Tempietto dell’Osanna welcomes tourists who are about to discover Nardò. It is a precious example of Lecce stone construction located at the gates of the town.
