Dazu einige erklär Tafeln in italienisch.
Very interesting museum. It's still very small and under construction. We had a tour in English and questions were answered very competently. I recommend it to anyone interested in human history. The exhibits are mainly various tools and sound from our ancestors. There are also some explanatory boards in Italian.

The museum of prehistory of Nardò is located in Largo Sant'Antonio and is accessed via a courtyard building. Dario and Silvia will welcome you, two very well prepared guys who will guide you to discover the archaeological finds coming for the most part from the nearby area of Porto Selvaggio. Anti Covid measures respected with mask and request for the green pass. Recommended for those who love the material and who is in that of Nardò.

We had read the reviews and wanted to try the visit. Expectations paid off. The museum is small but the guided tour was very comprehensive and full of details. The guys (archaeologists) who run it are very kind and you can see that they do this activity with passion and professionalism. We have learned a lot of information about the first human settlements in Puglia. Bravi .. I recommend this visit to spend some time doing something interesting. The location of the building is also very nice.

We strongly recommend the museum showing locally found artefacts from neanderthals and homo sapiens, including children's teeth and hunting tools. The museum puts the local finds into a larger context. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic; and spoke english well, we left the museum feeling well informed and inspired.

Exceptional museum exhibiting the prehistoric findings from local caves. Our tour guide was herself an archaeologist, which completely transformed the experience. Her rich knowledge, insight and dedication to recounting the history of prehistoric Salento made for a truly unique experience. Thank you so much for the unforgettable experience, keep up the good work.

It was an incredible experience. I absolutely loved it. I don't remember her name but she was a wonderful guide. She was very passionate and knew a lot. It was amazing the amount of history inside this building. And so much more to still process. It is an unworthy feeling to touch the same rocks that Neanderthals work on. It's a very weird feeling to connect, for a moment, to the old humans that inhabited Europe so many years ago. And that tooth that moved the estimated arrival to Europe 5000 years blew my mind. And really want to thank the people that's making this museum possible. Special thanks to our guide. Truly fantastic!
