★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Simply amazing to come here and hear about Pompeii. Our tour guide was fantastic and had a real passion for her job. Definitely appreciated. I do recommend going with a guide / group as there would be many things you could easily bypass.
It's amazing to see things such as pipes in the ground just like our water is carried today (although theirs was made of lead). To see how we have progressed but also how life was lived in Pompeii was a great thing to see.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pompeii is a beautiful place, where you must spend at least 3 hours to fully enjoy it. Do not forget your most comfortable shoes, sunscreen, hat and bottle of water:)) and, of course, the map (to better organise your walk) if you go during the hot summerdays. It is very large, but well preserved. It is really impressive to see the magnitude of the buildings. There are still work taking place there. If you are near Naples, do not hesitate to go. (The ticket costs 10 euros, and could be bought onsite).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You need at least 4 5 hours to see it if you rush it a bit. There are a lot of buildings inside that can be visited but most of them close around 14:00. At least thats what it said on the entrances. Its worth the time. Careful how you manage your toilet needs as toilets are generally located at the entrances to the site.
