È una stazione di periferia, sita nella zona dei Navigli, che contribuisce a smistare il traffico periferico regionale proveniente da sud del capoluogo milanese, essendo capolinea della tratta per Mortara, su cui viaggiano treni con cadenza oraria: nelle ore di maggior frequenza sono previsti treni per Alessandria. La compagnia è Trenord, i cui convogli sono noti per essere materiale rotabile vetusto e obsoleto. La stazione è collocata sopra l'omonima fermata della linea metropolitana verde (M2) riuscendo ad essere un funzionale interscambio con il trasporto urbano; fuori dalla stazione, ci sono i tram 9 e 10, oltre che gli autobus. All'interno vi è un'edicola - tabaccheria e un punto ristoro. La biglietteria è chiusa e risulta installata un'emettitrice self service; in alternativa, è possibile ricorrere ai canali web di Trenitalia. I servizi igienici sono chiusi e non possono essere utilizzati. La stazione è dotata di quattro binari di cui uno tronco. Originariamente si chiamava Milano Porta Ticinese e mantiene tuttora l'aspetto originario. The station is classified as silver by the Italian Railway Network; there is an indoor waiting room, but there are no canopies covering the sidewalks in front of the tracks. It is a suburban station, located in the Navigli area, which helps to sort the peripheral regional traffic coming from the south of the Milanese capital, being the terminus of the route to Mortara, on which trains travel every hour: trains are scheduled at the most frequent hours for Alessandria. The company is Trenord, whose convoys are known to be old and outdated rolling stock. The station is located above the homonymous stop of the green metro line (M2), managing to be a functional interchange with urban transport; outside the station, there are trams 9 and 10, as well as buses. Inside there is a newsagent - tobacconist and a refreshment point. The ticket office is closed and a self-service ticket machine is installed; alternatively, it is possible to use the Trenitalia web channels. The toilets are closed and cannot be used. The station has four tracks, one of which is a trunk. Originally it was called Milano Porta Ticinese and still maintains its original appearance.

Lasciamo perdere i senza tetto che alloggiano dentro la stazione! Controlli in questa stazione inesistenti!! Untreated and dirty station. I have been using this station for several years to get around for work, and I find it very dirty and uncared for! Forget the homeless who stay inside the station! Checks in this station do not exist !!

E fa schifo sporco zero sicurezza non parlando di treni che sempre ritardo o gli cancellano. Non parlando di persone non troppo aposto che sono la fare loro affari. Una vergonia I put a star because zero can't. However I attend the station every day. And it sucks dirty zero security not talking about trains that always delay or cancel it. Not talking about not too open minded people who are doing their business. A shame

La sala d'attesa rifugio x senza tetto e ubriachi (assenza di sicurezza) e frequenti le risse tra immigrati Obliteratrici x biglietti mai funzionanti. Scarsità di posti a sedere Graffiti e scritte negli spazi esterni. Una vergogna x essere una stazione a pochi km dal centro di Milano The worst railway station in Milan. Where the bathrooms should be open, a corner has been created where anyone does their needs without shame. The waiting room shelter x homeless and drunk (lack of security) e frequent fights between immigrants Ticket validators for tickets never working. Scarcity of seats Graffiti and writing in outdoor spaces. A shame to be a station a few km from the center of Milan
