Il luogo è territorio del comune di Portopalo di Capo passero ove sorge pure l'imponente faro di segnalazione navale più importante del sud Sicilia. Il Faro è in località cozzo spataro. Lo scalo mandrie declivia sul mare con una piazza ad anfiteatro detta terrazza dei due mari. Excellent visibility towards the island of Capo Passero. Además tiene una preciosa cala donde también es posible relajarse y tomar el sol. El lugar está rodeado de los bares y restaurantes de playa de Portopalo, para que no falte de nada. Además las vistas son realmente bonitas desde este lugar, que está en frente de la isla de Capopassero y cuenta con una estatua de una virgen local. Nice beach place, public and never too crowded to enjoy a day at the beach. It also has a beautiful cove where it is also possible to relax and sunbathe.
