Free on first Sunday of the month. Borromini's perspective corridor (as seen in The Great Beauty) is a must. A genius work of art and mathematics and so playful. The four rooms of the Galleria are really worth the visit, each room filled with original masters, some copies, and beatiful ceiling frescoes. Use the printed guide for reference. Don't miss the trompe l'oeil windows on the outside of the palazzo.

Beautifil art treasures. The museums are free of charge for everybody including tourists on the first Sunday of the month are: Colosseum and Forum (access subject to quota) Galleria Borghese (mandatory booking, 2 €) GNAM Galleria Nazionale Arte Moderna (Modern Art National Gallery) Museo nazionale Etrusco di Villa Giulia (Etruscan national museum) The more popular the museum, the more you need to book months in advance.

An incredibly large collection in a relatively small space. Difficult to focus on single works of art, which makes it interesting in itself.

Delightful, small museum. A gentleman/volunteer took the time to explain and demonstrate Bernini's optical illusion.

The lady at reception refused the free entry for a Fine Art student by saying “I work in this museum so I know the law”; obviously she didn’t as she got quite confrontational after showing her the information regarding free entry for Fine Art students from the very own museum’s website! Still, she didn’t rectify as she made us pay. Stubborn, very rude and a swindler.

An amazing building from the late renaissance , with splendid rooms and many paintings. Some statues as well. Not to mention the trompe œil corridor Bernini, the gallery that looks much longer than it actually is. Unfortunately only 4 rooms can be visited which is not much at all, but it gives a good idea and the ticket is not expensive with euro 6 only. Located in the centre ans easy accessible, I do recommend a visit even though it is a very small museum.

Great optical illusion outside the art gallery (Bernini’s optical illusion) - columns, lots of painting and detailed art. Just needs to update the app for checking green pass ? Would be helpful for UK travelers.

A place to be visited, 4 Rooms full of paintings. Very well kept palace. Team over there is really nice and friendly. Make sure to have the green pass to be allowed in.
