★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible! Finding this place is a nightmare. Whatever you do - do NOT follow the arrows pointing out the directions to SNAV - they are wrong. Spent an hour of running around asking people for the way. Caught our ship at the last second.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is just a ferry. We went from Napels to Capri and back. I didn‘t expect much and so I was not dissapointed when we got on board. First of all it already says on the online ticket that you have to exchange it 15 minutes before boarding at the ticket office. The ticket Office is directly at the Gate by all the other ferry companies and not hard to find. The boat itself was alright. It wasn‘t very clean nor dirty. For everyone who gets easily sea sick: I read the comments and got a bit scared so I took a pill and sat in the back as recommended. The first few minutes I really thought that I will throw up but after we left the harbour and got to Full speed it went away and the cruise was very smooth. I could read and eat which is always a good sign.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Technically this is not a real stay during our recent two week Italian vacation. Still I booked the ferry trip from Naples to Palermo to save time since it's an overnight ferry trip where you depart from Naples and wake up in Palermo. We paid about $135 for two person cabin, but got a 3 person cabin facing outside which was nice. Getting to the ferry and exchanging the room tickets from the SNAV office (located in the two story red-brick building) was a breeze, and getting on board was smooth as well. Once on board to the 6th deck via either escalator or elevator, the room keys are there for you to pick up. Overall our experience on the ferry was positive. We had a couple drinks at the bar and the prices weren't too bad either. One thing to be careful is NOT to get on the wrong ferry, since there is another ferry going to Palermo at about the same time. We followed the wrong crowd to that boat and had to walk back to the SNAV ferry (Fantastic). The cabin is adequate for an overnight stay. Bathroom water pressure also pretty strong. Overall, it's a basic/no frill stay but does save us the time (and money) to get from Naples to Palermo. Also, after de-boarding the ferry at Palermo, there are free shuttle buses to bring you to the port entrance.
