★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Antichi reperti romani risalenti al VI o al I secolo a.c. Secondo alcuni studiosi gli scavi possono corrispondere ad una antica Domus romana di un proprietario terriero che un tempo dominava l'intera area di Scifi ma questa teoria non è stata ancora resa veritiera. Secondo altre ricerche i reperti potrebbero essere i resti di un'antico teatro o di un sorta di bar dove i nostri antenati banchettavano e bevevano. Tra tutte queste ideologie la più corretta potrebbe essere la seguente: I resti potrebbero essere associati ad un villaggio nelle montagne alle spalle di Scifì o potrebbero essere i rimasugli della antica Vicum Agrillae. L'alluvione che fece causare la frana della rocca Scala, potrebbe essersi propagata verso Scifì e quindi potrebbe aver fatto straripare il torrente che attraversa la cittadina. L'acqua del torrente probabilmente avvolse il villaggio e lo spinse verso la valle, imprigionandolo nel suolo. Questa teoria è la più corretta rispetto alle altre, proprio perché gli scavi sono stati riportati in luce da un territorio argilloso e composto da ciottoli di fiume.

 Ancient Roman finds dating back to the 6th or 1st century BC. According to some scholars, the excavations may correspond to an ancient Roman Domus of a landowner who once dominated the entire area of Scifi but this theory has not yet been made true. According to other research, the finds could be the remains of an ancient theater or a sort of bar where our ancestors feasted and drank. Among all these ideologies the most correct could be the following: The remains could be associated with a village in the mountains behind Scifì or they could be the remnants of the ancient Vicum Agrillae. The flood that caused the landslide of the Scala fortress could have spread towards Scifì and therefore could have caused the torrent that crosses the town to overflow. The water of the stream probably enveloped the village and pushed it towards the valley, imprisoning it in the soil. This theory is more correct than the others, precisely because the excavations were brought to light from a clayey territory composed of river pebbles.
