You can see Etna from the archeological park. The museum has a good amount of info on the history of Greek settlement in Sicily.

We enjoyed walking among the small excavated areas of this quite recently created archeological site and learn about the first Greek settlers in Sicily. The museum displays artefacts from this very specific area and there are very well done videos showing the buildings as they used to be and what living there and then was like. We spent two hours there, taking our time...
