Sfânta Ecaterina- patroana orașului Siena a murit în Roma in 1380 la vârsta de 33 de ani, odată proclamata sfanta în 1461 comunitatea din Siena a constituindu-se într-o confraternita au comisionat prima biserica dedicată Sfintei Caterina in 1526 comisionad proiectul marelui arhitect Baldassare Peruzzi, degradata dea lungul timpului a fost restilizata in 1766 de Paolo Posi ce a redat pe fațadă simbolul orașu Roma și Siena - Romulus și Remus cu lupoaica.

We happened upon this church by chance. Finely decorated in Baroque style, it has a very special charm, especially the altar with a beautiful bas-relief of the Saint.

Mass is on Sundays and major feast-days at 10:30.
This beautiful little 18th century church belongs to Sienese expatriates, who are proud of it.
