★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gorgeous and peaceful sanctuary within the mountains. The room was pretty spacious and had a large bathroom, both with a view towards the mountains. Its proximity to the mountains makes it ideal for long hikes in the beautiful surrounding nature.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The computational mechanics conference 2018 was held here at the "Sanctuary of Oropa". All the participants of the conference were given accommodation within the sanctuary. It's a very calm and serene location, with view of the beautiful alps.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful and amazing place for having a trip with your family and friends. However it's hard to reach it with public transportation, better to go there by car. Since it's cold in winter it's better to go there when it's warm and sunny. The view is amazing, the church itself isn't open all the time, during religious events (especially on Sundays it's not open to public to visit).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This holy place is situated on the Biellese Alps. It is still operated during the Covid-19, and if you are visiting around this time, it is cold and snowing still. Don't forget to get your tokens (€2 per token)...there are 2 options to choose from as memorabilia.

Had a few days of reflection and relaxation at the sanctuary.
Took a walk up the alp to the top one day, good trails and decent difficulty.
Fantastic views everywhere you look. Nice and simple rooms. Good restaurants at the place and also a few other good ones some 10 min walk away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In October 2002 I saw this most interesting place. During a stay in Biella we took our car up the road to see it. Very impressing it was with its many huge buildings and calm atmosphere. Later I have seen on TV the giro ending stages here. If you are in the area it is absolutely worth while to spend a couple of hours to see it
