★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Questo antico eremo intitolato a San Bartolomeo lo si incontra percorrendo il sentiero che da Biella giunge al santuario di Oropa risalendo l'omonimo torrente.
Per raggiungere l’antico eremo velocemente è invece possibile lasciare l’auto nei pressi dell’ex-Miravalle. Scendere a piedi sulla strada asfaltata oltrepassando la sbarra, dopo qualche decina di metri sulla vostra sinistra imboccare il sentiero che nel giro di una ventina di minuti vi porterà a San Bartolomeo.
This ancient hermitage dedicated to San Bartolomeo can be found along the path that from Biella reaches the sanctuary of Oropa going up the homonymous torrent.
To reach the ancient hermitage quickly, however, you can leave your car near the ex-Miravalle. Get off on foot on the asphalted road passing the barrier, after a few tens of meters on your left take the path that in about twenty minutes will take you to San Bartolomeo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Posto in posizione incantevole ma allo stesso tempo nascosto, l'eremitaggio di San Bartolomeo potrebbe essere una delle prime costruzioni del Santuario Mariano di Oropa posto esattamente 150 metri a monte. ma purtroppo non esiste nulla in letteratura.
Set in an enchanting but at the same time hidden position, the hermitage of San Bartolomeo could be one of the first buildings of the Mariano di Oropa Sanctuary, located exactly 150 meters upstream. but unfortunately there is nothing in the literature.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ E' posto lungo il D1 ("Il sentiero dei Biellesi") una via che collegava Biella con Aosta: i viandanti qui trovavano conforto sia materiale che spirituale.
Un documento del 1207 fa pensare che fosse più importante anche di Oropa, forse per la sua antica fondazione nell'VIII secolo.
Oggi è in abbandono ma se Oropa vince in grandiosità e prestigio San Bartolomeo affascina ancora come luogo verde, silenzioso e senza tempo.
La chiesetta dovrebbe essere visitabile il 24 agosto, festa del santo.
A road that connected Biella with Aosta is located along the D1 ("The Biellesi path"): here travelers found both material and spiritual comfort.
A document from 1207 suggests that it was even more important than Oropa, perhaps due to its ancient foundation in the eighth century.
Today it is abandoned but if Oropa wins in grandeur and prestige San Bartolomeo still fascinates as a green, silent and timeless place.
The church should be open on 24 August, the feast of the saint.
