All'interno tre navate, quella centrale molto più ampia e volte secentesche ribassate. Beautiful church rebuilt after the war following the original criteria. Inside there are three naves, the central one much wider and lowered seventeenth-century vaults.

Sappiamo che l'antica chiesa parrocchiale, intitolata a S. Andrea - ora scomparsa -, era "filiale" della "plebale" di Ginestreto. Ma già era intitolata a S. Michele Arcangelo nelle Rationes Decimarum del 1290-92, quando ormai era certamente anche parrocchia. La troviamo citata sia nella visita apostolica del 1574 sia nelle visite pastorali dei secoli successivi. La nuova chiesa di S. Michele Arcangelo fu costruita l'anno 1705 con vari assegnamenti, legati e contribuzioni di persone pie. Il 29 agosto 1718 fu eretta in "Collegiata insigne" - l'unica della diocesi - dal Papa Clemente XI dietro petizione del Vescovo Filippo Spada e del Rettore don Bernardino Magni il quale, il 10 settembre dello stesso anno, con decreto della Curia Vescovile ne prese possesso. Al parroco fu revocato il titolo di Priore e gli fu attribuito quello di "Unica e Prima Dignità e Capo del Capitolo". La Collegiata ebbe vita finché rimasero in essere soltanto due canonici effettivi: il Priore e il Teologo ma della sua erezione a parrocchia, sotto la protezione di San Michele Arcangelo, non vi è memoria; spettava bensì il mantenerla in tutto e per tutto alla Comunità locale, come si rileva chiaramente dai libri pubblici. We have no data to specify the date of the foundation of this castle and the erection of its parish church. We know that the ancient parish church, dedicated to St. Andrew - now disappeared - was a "branch" of the "plebale" of Ginestreto.
