Beautiful sunny Walser village located on a mountain plateau, overlooking the Antigorio valley, surrounded by thick coniferous forests and vast prairies.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il paese di Salecchio, diviso nelle due località chiamate Inferiore e Superiore per intuibile posizionamento nella vallata, è un antico insediamento Walser in Valle Antigorio. Ormai abbandonato dagli abitanti che per circa 700 anni hanno popolato questi luoghi, ora è meta di escursioni e di appassionati che con molta fatica ristrutturano le caratteristiche strutture delle vecchie baite Walser. Si raggiunge a piedi con una camminata di un'oretta e mezza da Fondovalle, subito dopo la galleria che si apre sulla Valle Formazza, oppure dalla frazione Passo con una salita ripida e impegnativa di oltre due ore.
The village of Salecchio, divided into the two places called Inferiore and Superiore due to its intuitive positioning in the valley, is an ancient Walser settlement in the Antigorio Valley. Now abandoned by the inhabitants who have populated these places for about 700 years, now it is a destination for excursions and enthusiasts who with great difficulty restructure the characteristic structures of the old Walser huts. It can be reached on foot with an hour and a half walk from Fondovalle, immediately after the tunnel that opens onto the Formazza Valley, or from the hamlet of Passo with a steep and demanding climb of over two hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ uno degli ultimi villaggi Walser isolati ancora originali. affacciato slla Valle Antigorio in faccia ai Monti Corona di Groppo. è più isolato di Salecchio inferiore e case Francoli e non ci si arriva in auto.
one of the last isolated original Walser villages. overlooking the Antigorio Valley facing the Corona di Groppo Mountains. it is more isolated than the lower Salecchio and Francoli houses and you cannot get there by car.
