β β β β β Chiesa abbaziale, ancora tenuta dai monaci benedettini, che custodisce molte opere di Antonio Begarelli, artista che adoro: le sei grandi statue in terracotta, addossate ai pilastri della navata centrale, raffiguranti la Madonna col Bambino e vari santi: San Francesco, San Bonaventura, Santa Giustina, San Pietro e San Benedetto poi la PietΓ e il grandioso Altare delle Statue realizzato nel 1553 che raffigura la Madonna in Gloria e i Santi Pietro, Paolo, Geminiano e Benedetto. Da non perdere anche la Sagrestia con gli affreschi di Girolamo da Vignola e con i banconi dalle splendide tarsie eseguite da Gianfrancesco da Cremona nel 1548
 Abbey Church, still held by Benedictine monks, which houses many works by Antonio Begarelli, an artist I adore: the six large terracotta statues, leaning against the pillars of the central nave, depicting the Madonna with Child and various saints: San Francesco, San Bonaventura, Santa Giustina, San Pietro and San Benedetto then the PietΓ and the grandiose Statue Altar created in 1553 depicting the Madonna in Gloria and the Saints Pietro, Paolo, Geminiano and Benedetto. Do not miss the Sacristy with the frescoes by Girolamo da Vignola and the counters with splendid marquetry by Gianfrancesco da Cremona in 1548

β β β β β Il chiostro della chiesa di san Pietro Γ¨ un tipico chiostro delle abbazie, con il porticato e una zona pavimentata centrale. Permette di arrivare nei diversi locali, sale e nello spaccio dei prodotti fatti naturalmente dai diversi conventi di clausura italiani. I locali vengono utilizzati per le diverse attivitΓ sociali.
The cloister of the church of San Pietro is a typical cloister of the abbeys, with a portico and a central paved area. It allows you to arrive in the different rooms, halls and in the shop of products made naturally by the different Italian cloistered convents. The premises are used for different social activities.

β β β β β Un poβ discosta dal centro piΓΉ turistico, questa abbazia racchiude tesori di grande pregio: dipinti, organo, intarsi, statue; da non perdere la sagrestia. Unico tempio rinascimentale della cittΓ : imperdibile!
A little away from the more touristic center, this abbey contains treasures of great value: paintings, organ, inlays, statues; do not miss the sacristy. The only Renaissance temple in the city: unmissable!

β β β β β La chiesa Γ¨ davvero imponente: 5 navate di una lunghezza ed un'altezza notevoli! Dalla semplice facciata esterna, in laterizio ma con uno splendido fregio, non si immagina la maestositΓ dell'interno! Fuori dal circuito turistico, vale la pena arrivare fin qui, non fosse altro per le splendide sculture in terracotta del Begarelli, disposte lungo la navata centrale. Nell'ultima cappella a sinistra c'Γ¨ anche la tomba di Begarelli: un'imponente sacra conversazione realizzata dallo scultore stesso come pala dell'altare maggiore, ma spostata lateralmente e convertita a sua sepoltura nel corso dell''800. Il complesso contiene anche alcune tele di pregio, un organo dipinto tra i piΓΉ belli che abbia mai visto ed una spezieria/acetaia in cui Γ¨ possibile acquistare moltissimi prodotti fatti dai benedettini.
The church is truly impressive: 5 naves of a considerable length and height! From the simple external facade, in brick but with a splendid frieze, one cannot imagine the majesty of the interior! Outside the tourist circuit, it is worth getting here, if only for the splendid terracotta sculptures by Begarelli, arranged along the central nave. In the last chapel on the left there is also the tomb of Begarelli: an imposing sacred conversation created by the sculptor himself as the main altarpiece, but moved laterally and converted to his burial during the 19th century. The complex also contains some valuable canvases, a painted organ among the most beautiful I've ever seen and a pharmacy / vinegar shop where you can buy many products made by the Benedictines.
