Artisticamente molto interessante, architettura classica.
Ha sofferto il terremoto ma è stata restaurata ed è agibile al pubblico.
Più bello l'interno dell'esterno a mio parere.
Da visitare!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa che si trova sulla Via Emilia costruita nel 1633 dopo la terribile peste del 1630 che colpì la città con 200 morti al giorno. I quei gg. il Comune e il Duca Francesco I d'Este fecero il voto alla Madonna della Ghira che avrebbero costruito una chiesa in suo onore se avesse fatto cessare la peste. La facciata e in due ordini ionico e corinzo con grande cupola. L'interno è ad una sola navata. Sulla sinistra la pala con cornice in oro della Madonna della Ghira circondata da santi e sotto scene della peste.
Church located on the Via Emilia built in 1633 after the terrible plague of 1630 which struck the city with 200 deaths a day. Those days the Municipality and the Duke Francesco I d'Este made a vow to the Madonna della Ghira that they would build a church in her honor if she put an end to the plague. The façade is in two Ionic and Corinthian orders with a large dome. The interior has a single nave. On the left the altarpiece with a gold frame of the Madonna della Ghira surrounded by saints and under scenes of the plague.
