This was an unexpected gem of a museum for the price. Provides clear view of the roman era of this city and the difficulty of excavating this history without damaging the medieval city.

Amazing to see history of Assisi’s earliest days. I can’t wait to see what else they uncover. Well worth the 5€ admission price.

be very attentive visiting this museum, as with all museums in italy right now, the number to call for information is not the museum but the tourist information center. you might think the museum is open but it is not actually.

Amazingly extensive underground passages that run along one edge of the old Roman forum, on front of the temple of Minerva. Well displayed stone fragments, tombs, columns, inscriptions. Interesting video ... sadly, only in Italian, with no subtitles.

Great and quick museum for only 4 euro. You really can't appreciate Minerva's temple/church or the center of town without understanding what's underneath. It is an walkway under the main square of the original square and the original wall in front of Minerva's temple.

All part of the main Forum area.. Go with a good guide.. we used Tours of Rome. They were really interested in what they were showing you and didn't just read it all out.. They brought all those piles of marble and Stone to life.. The site is integral with the main site so easy to include with it.

Amazing Ran remnants. We we're able to touch the walls and tombstones that Romans built amd carved. Fabulous little museum, a complete gem. The museum even housed Etruscan Urns! A time machine type of museum. Only 5 euros
