Altre rocche difensive della città di Terni furono: Rocca Sant'Angelo, Colleluna, Rocca di San Giovanni a Piedimonte, Rocca di Casale Rinaccio, Papigno, Rocca di Fava, la Rocca di Monte di Valle presso Miranda, Rocchetta, e Miranda stessa (dal 1453). Nel 1624 venne avviata un'opera di restauro da parte della popolazione, che fu finanziata con la vendita del legname boschivo; venne anche ampliata la porta occidentale e vi furono ricavati gli ambienti per le guardie. The current Rocca (13th-15th century) stands on a rock spire behind the town; further up, at 508m, there is a lookout tower. The building was built with the express purpose of defending the countryside of the city of Terni in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, from the incursions of Spoleto. In the Ancient Reformations of the Municipality of Terni, the dates, names, surnames and information about the salaries of the castellani (mostly all Terni nobles, with some exceptions of Banderare families) who followed one after the other and who presided over this fortress during the municipal wars. Other defensive fortresses of the city of Terni were: Rocca Sant'Angelo, Colleluna, Rocca di San Giovanni a Piedimonte, Rocca di Casale Rinaccio, Papigno, Rocca di Fava, the Rocca di Monte di Valle near Miranda, Rocchetta, and Miranda herself (from 1453). In 1624 a restoration work was started by the population, which was financed by the sale of woodland; the western gate was also enlarged and the rooms for the guards were created.
