Più avanti c'è una terrazza con un panorama bellissimo sulla campagna toscana. Vale la pena di andarci soprattutto nei periodi di festa. It is the highest point of the village of Bibbona. Diventa fortificata intorno al 1200 . La torre per molti secoli è un punto di avvistamento e bastione difensivo fino al 1800. Essa faceva parte del castello, (oggi no più presente) ma alcune parti della cinta muraria sono ancora visibili. L 'entrata principale del castello detta porta del sole era situata dove si trova ora il vecchio municipio, ma a metà. del 1800 fu demolita. All'interno del paese si trova la chiesa di S. Ilario che è datata tra il 1200 1300. Struttura di natura Romanica poi avere midifiche durante i secoli. Presenta all'interno fonti battesimale di ottimo pregio e un affresco del 1500. La Rocca fu innalzata verosimilmente come abitazione di una famiglia signorile e successivamente fu utilizzata come torre d'avvistamento; fu ristrutturata diverse volte nel corso del XVII secolo, in concomitanza con le invasioni saracene, ma il piano superiore crollò a seguito del terremoto del 1846. Alla fine del Settecento le autorità decretarono la demolizione della Porta del Sole.
