You get the impression that the food is classic Sicilian cuisine – it is simple and delicious. This place has real charm and character and was a highlight of our stay in Vulcano.

C	Chris H on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owner, Maurizio is a real character and welcomes everyone in, mostly speaking their own language (we heard him speaking Italian, English, French and German). The whole experience oup us at ease at once.The everyone feels like a guest rather than a customer. On top of this, the food is great. It's not fine dining but it feels like genuine Sicilian food, done well. There are little appetisers to start that aren't included in the bill, and to an extent, these are the stars of the meal. The baked ricotta is a real treat. Then mains are cooked to the guests taste. Maurizio asks you what you feel like then lists some options. Admittedly there is an Italian menu but for those that don't know much Italian the personal service is great. We loved it so much that we went back the next evening. I had fish fried in orange and lemon the first night, then pasta with courgettes the next night. Both were delicious. Can't recommend enough!

The owner is always around the tables, talks a lot but don't listen. And more importantly: he doesn't cook! If I had a restaurant I'd be in the kitchen 90% of the time. Filling the mouths of my customers, not their ears.
