Not only for the quality and goodness of what he cooks but also for the dishes (I mean the ceramic objects) or the glasses that he himself has made according to his ideas. His hand is felt in all the restaurants of the hotel being the manager. In addition to “Il Cappero”, the vegetarian restaurant “I Tenerumi” should also be mentioned. The service is TOP too!

Attracted by the Michelin star, we went to have dinner at Il Cappero. Wonderful location and polite staff promised not to disappoint our high expectations. Unfortunately the menu turned out to be highly unsatisfactory, from the dish to the taste of the dishes. We chose the tasting menus and the first course, Rosso hopefully, was served on a decidedly vulgar picture depicting a sunset on which edible spheres lay. From then on, the experimentation dared more and more, but the taste was latent, leaving us puzzled and the situation worsened with a very salty portion of anelletti with shellfish and two seconds: swordfish balls (complete with a silver plastic sword stuck like a sword in the rock) and a mating between rabbit and octopus with which we fortunately decided to end, avoiding the dessert. The bill for four tastings and a bottle of Arianna Occhipinti? 660 euros. Madness. Experimenting is fine but first you need to know how to cook. We also point out the bread box at the table that did not remain open and closed sadly with its contents, useless to diners. A decidedly radical kitsch dinner that sheds a disturbing light on the methodology of Michelin stars.

Definitely a deserved Micheline star, both for the food and for the unique view of the sea and Lipari. We recommend arriving early, by 7.30pm, to enjoy a beautiful sunset. Excellent staff and refined dishes with intense flavors, almost always. A shuttle service is available from the volcano port. Consistent prices for a restaurant with a micheline star.

We booked this starred restaurant to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Breathtaking location..is the only place from which you can admire all the Aeolian Islands and it was truly the most beautiful sunset of my life. Kind and qualified staff but ... dishes too "skimpy" ... excellent taste, but almost all finger food that did not give the opportunity to really taste and appreciate the chef's research. Really fantastic choice of porcelain and cutlery..but I can't eat only with my eyes! We ordered a 10-course menu and while in other starred restaurants I was unable to eat the mini pastry shop as full as I was, here at the end of the dinner we had to look for a piece of pizza (so to speak!) a little more substance was enough to get the maximum.

Good flavors, interesting presentations, desserts the weakest point. Nice wine list with plenty of good local references reasonably priced, plus the typical 4 digits international wines you find in starred restaurants.

The food was great! The cheef Mr Giuseppe Biuso and other cookers are the artists. Looking at the kitchen is like being in the theater. All the stuff are so good. The manager Mr Giuliano, sommelier Mr Giuseppe, Miss Cristina and all others are so helpful and kind. You can trust them for food and wine recommendations. The sunset view is fabulous.

Quite an average experience. Food is ok but more about presentation than taste. There is no consistency in service. Some of the staff was super helpful and nice. At the same time, we were waiting for 15 minutes before getting seated - staff was trying to figure out something. Sommelier offered us EUR400 wine without even asking our price range preferences. Later he poured us EUR20 glass desert wine. Be careful as it looks like the place is very commercial and they optimize for profits not customer experience. Overall, it was not good value for money. Very different from our experience in other restaurants in Sicily. Sunset view from the restaurant is great though.
