Lacaponata is one of those places that are not good good but are not bad bad either. Sort of in the middle when you are tired of looking and settle for the first cute place that you see but then feel that you should have perhaps looked longer. Somewhat pricey but still in the range of the other places around

Just a very disapointing experience and definitely overpriced. Food was bad, service - the same.

Attenzione!! Fraude! I was there together with my husband. First of all: beautiful place, good taste in music. The young owner (or son of the owner) was also really friendly and spoke English well. We sat down and wanted to just have a normal, mid-sized meal. We wanted to order it, but the owner told us that he will make something special for us. "What will it be?" we ask him. "Well, just a bit of antipasti and a bit of fish". So we asked, what exactly, so that it won't be too much. We were looking in the menu, but couldn't find it. "Oh don't worry, trust me!" was his response. "I will make something special for you". We were not sure and wanted to know what exactly, but all he was saying was "Trust me!". So we did. In the end, it was too much, of course. We said, we don't need more when he brought the first plate. But he kept on insisting, that he already started with "all of the other food" - we were like "You said it won't be that much". His answer: "Just trust me!". The food was not bad, nothing special, just normal food on the same level as other restaurants around. The best part: He charged us 95 Euros! 95 Euros!! That's incredible, as you get the same amount of food in all the restaurants around for around 30-35 Euros. You can take a look at the invoice - 30 Euros for the antipasti (couple of small stuff on a plate) and 30 Euros for the second plate (couple of small stuff on a plate). The first plate was only like a little piece. We complained about the amount of the invoice and it was actually quite funny how he reacted to it - he basically said he needs to do something in the kitchen to avoid an argument. In the end we paid, because we didn't want to fight on our holiday over a really ridiulous price. It is a pitty, because he seemed like a really nice guy and then you understand that this "Trust me" thing is just a charade to skim tourists. I would be ashamed of myself.

Guy is very nice, but he tries to sell you more than you want. Almost a bit pushy and cannot take no for an answer. Hence your bill will have up to 2 times the dishes on it compared to the theoretical situation if you would have ordered yourself. There is a dog in the kitchen.

Overall the service was good. Appetizers were quite disappointing and overpriced. I got a shrimp salad with oranges and lemons, unfortunately the oranges tasted as if they were rotten. Won't go back.

Service was terrible. We were not asked what we would like to eat. Instead the very self confident server proposed we should eat divers specialties. We made sure he understood that we wanted a small dinner. We were served many, too many, dishes we didn’t want and in the end we were really frustrated about the bill that was not readable and really far off! Owning a small business myself, I was really disgusted by such behaviour towards guests and can‘t give this restaurant a good review.

Great selection of fish and catch of the day. Do come visit as it's some of the freshest fish I had in town.

Service was great the waiter was very friendly and helpful in explaining every dish and ingredients. Pasta was Felipe’s and felt light which is always good. Mixed fried seafood was good too not special though. Were offered complementary Zibibo after dinner. Overall nice restaurant. Recommended.
