★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food and service. We tried the Florintine Steak, thick cut T-Bone. We found it charred too much, and the beef was pretty tough. We thought that may be typical of the Italian beef, but we had the same thing at a private house a few nights later and it was perfect and very tender. It was my wife's birthday so I asked the waiter to put a candle in her tiramisu and he brought it out singing and the whole restaurant started singing and clapping. Overall, a very nice dinner and inexpensive by US standards

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We adored this meal and our waitress Nina. We had the steak fiorentina to share between the four of us, as well as we each got one dish (lasagna, gnocchi, cappellacci, & ravioli). It was spectacular! We also got the house wine which was more flavorful/older/more oaky than the other house wines we have had so far on this trip (it also had a higher price since we had to buy a bottle, but it was worth the price). Nina helped us pick the right size steak for what we wanted and was very fun every time she came to the table. Her English was amazing as well!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great service, nicely decorated...we went all in, on there famous steak chianini tbone. It came out with a lot of bone, tho still delicious looking. However if you pay by weight, than that's rather frustrating. Anyway taste was great and overall experience too.
Didn't get a bottle of wine like the previous review said, hehe.
We had 2 starters, 1,3kg main, 2 bottles sparkling and wine. Came out at 250usd, as a side note

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was in the mood for beef stew and searched online through many restaurants and found this place, plus it was recommended by my apt host.
The stew was good - soft and rich. It could have used more salt but overall I was satisfied with the dish. However, it came with beans and I was expecting potatoes based on previous photos, so I ordered a side of potatoes for 7€. I also ordered bruschetta which was fine but again, not salty enough. And the bread lacked flavor. Seems this place doesn’t really like salt or much flavor.
Cheesecake was tasty but honestly the whole meal came out to being more expensive than I was expecting. I had just spent a few days in Venice where everything was pricey and I had much better meals there for a comparable price. In Venice for 66€ I had a *fantastic* innovative full meal (two primi plus dessert) with 4 glasses of wine for only a bit more than my meal here. Here the wine and sides were more pricey compared to Venice. See bill for details.
I will say the decor and setup was nice, and it’s a nice place to go on a date. But the food could have been better.

Food is average to bad. The steak was so tough and raw we couldn’t chew it. The set menu we ordered had a dessert and drink which they forgot to bring, and when asked, they brought the dessert and it was obviously microwaved (half hot and half cold).
Please be avoid the restaurants in the center as their portions are generally small and quality is terrible for tourists.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I made a reservation for me and my wife’s first dinner in Florence, the ambience was great and the food was even better! It was my first time having a Florentine steak and it did not disappoint. The cheesecake is a must try and was much different to the cheesecakes in the US!
