★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best dinner we've had on a week's holiday in Sicily. As far as I could see, everyone had the chef/proprietor's recommended special: and amazing seafood carpaccio followed by tuna cooked just right. They only use fresh local ingredients, but produce original dishes, unlike most local restaurants, which tend to serve their own versions of standard dishes. I highly recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For me, the best restaurant in Ortigia. The couple who own the place are wonderful, kind and knowledgeable people. The food is always perfect. If you don't get fresh, raw fish you are missing out, but the cooked dishes are sensational too, and the desserts are wonderful (the ricotta mousse is so much more than you'd expect!) I insist on coming every time I'm here and my boyfriend who came three years ago still talks about it fondly. A real hidden gem - you wouldn't be surprised to see somewhere charging 3 X the amount for the same food in London!
