★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing service (which we found rare in peak-season Sicily - served in under 40mins) and al fresco dining, but some dishes perhaps a bit too adventurous, and some of the basics were hit and miss. Good wine and great that you can order from two different menus, the other being 'Bistrot Notre Dame' next door

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The cuisine was pleasant, especially the starters - caponata, eel and octopus in tomato, less the first course - spaghetti with botarga (and a lot of orange zest) and sea food risotto. Despite the above - the service was one of the lousiest we've ever experienced (in Italy at least). Our waitress didn't seem to pay any attention to her tables. Once she was there, bringing the dishes, she kept being rude as if our presence in the restaurant dissatisfied her. She spent the whole time of our visit sitting outside, watching her phone, and combing her hair (with her hand!). No natural wines were recommended to us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Smell was delicious when passing by while visiting Ortigia and we stopped there, very warmly welcomed by the owners, the food was great (special dedicace to the mussles with pepper and the chocolate cake). Very large wine menu as well. Great and friendly conversation on top of it. Definitely recommend it for the general experience.
