★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful experience in Ortigia, we had the chance to taste one of the menus. The ingredients were amazing and the chef was always on our side to suggest our next dish.
Definitely worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant recieved Michelin guide so I have interested this place during my travel. The place is classical inside and outside, and the staffs all are so kindness and serving gently. The foods are wonderful, especially, meat (young cow) is very good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is by no means a full review but rather a mere snapshot of our own experience with Don Camillo, whom we had the chance to shortly personally see after the dinner. I don't want to lessen the amazing restaurant which is beyond comparison to anything else we had during our 8 days trip in Sicily. The reasons I don't give five stars are only of cosmetic nature and not related to the wonderful dishes mostly but still I think at this level of cooking in my opinion it should be considered. We had the history tasting menu which was comprised out of sea food largely. The waiter serving the courses was repeatedly putting the fork to the wrong side. In my opinion the second course (the pasta) was a bit too large. If it would be a bit smaller one could even more enjoy the shrimps Don Camillo style which are a perfectly seasoned poem of food. The last course was the tuna with bell pepper sauce which worked well as a composition but not so much individually. And there is my point for the 4 stars, we lacked a bit the explanation of the individual courses, the way to eat, what we can expect and what we have. Maybe this is done for Italian speaking guests, but unfortunately we don't speak it. With a bit more guidance through the menu the experience would be nothing short of flawless. As a side note, my favorite in terms of tasting experience however was the shrimps in sepia crust with almond paste. The taste of the shrimps individually where out of this world :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The atmosphere of the restaurant is very unusual and lovely. It is a gorgeous place overall. We decided to go for the tasting seafood menu. Unfortunately, we thought it wasn’t something extraordinary. Some dishes were nice however others were very salty. We cannot think of one dish that gave us a wow factor. I am not sure if the saltiness is typical for Sicilian cuisine in general but it is not something I enjoy. It is purely because of my personal preference that I give this score.
Overall it is a nice place to visit for a special occasion but I definitely would not visit it again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We are half way through our trip in Sicily and I have to say this was one of our favourite restaurants and the ONLY restaurants where we considered returning for dinner after our lunch (we have so far eaten at 2 one Michelin star and 1 two Michelin star restaurants in Sicily) service was great and the wine suggest was on point. Totally a must visit if you are in Ortigia! YUM!
