Beautiful restaurant with a lake view! Discovered by chance while we were passing by, it remains in a somewhat hidden position perhaps difficult to find if you are not aware of it .. Very romantic place with lake view from every point. Great service, divine food! I ate the best perch risotto! I highly recommend it!

I arrive for lunch and the place is almost empty, only a couple of tables occupied. We are in the middle of August, almost all the restaurants in Bellano are full, this one is not. This should already make me suspicious. The staff does not shine for sympathy, but it could also be postponed, after all it is not mandatory to welcome the customer with a smile. Let's start with the positive things: the restaurant is in a strategic area, right on a small promontory with a beautiful terrace overlooking the lake. The view is remarkable and the flowers that surround the structure provide a beautiful setting for the panorama. We are outdoors and some small imperfections are forgiven, but the amount of cobwebs present is really impossible not to notice. The menu is quite “touristy” but still has some local dishes, with fish from the lake. The wine list is not particularly rich, I ask what is available by the glass and I am simply told "Pinot grigio", of which cellar it is not possible to know. I order a glass of white and a mixed fried, the wine arrives immediately, the fried after about 15 minutes. We are outdoors, the clouds have opened and a little sun is coming. I leave it to the reader to estimate the temperature of the glass when the dish arrives. The fish is of excellent quality, it must be admitted. But the fried really leaves something to be desired: soggy, greasy batter, oil flavor of dubious quality and completely bland. It comes without a side dish, they weren't present on the menu and I assumed that something was already paired with the dish, also considering its cost. This is not the case, and courtesy would like that during the order the waiter could also ask me if I wanted something to accompany. In short, € 18 for a dull fried, soggy and without a side dish, if not for a couple of sandwiches that vaguely resemble those pre-cooked frozen canteens or self-service. To complete the bill, € 3 cover charge (a polyester table runner and paper napkins), € 5 for a glass of an anonymous Pinot Grigio and € 3 for still water. Total € 29, a figure that could have been invested much better. Maybe I was unlucky to get the wrong day, but the experience is not to be repeated.
