★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good traditional Bolognese food, accompanied by excellent service. The owner was very attentive, and explained to us the history of the restaurant, and how they invented tortellini alla panna (now a famous dish around Italy) many years ago. Highlights of our meal were the tortellini and the Manicaretto Cesarina (see photo). For dessert, the Zuppa Inglese wasn't perfectly to our liking, as it was more of a pudding than a cake, but the Torta di Riso was very good.
Would highly recommend a visit if you're in Bologna.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Of all the restaurants we tried in Bologna, this was our favorite. The antipasti, primo and secondi are all delicious. The rabbit was the highlight. The sommelier is very knowledgeable and suggests great wines, not the most expensive ones. We went twice.

However, the staff was elegant and friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant definitely lives up to its reputation. The artichoke salad is the best I had so far. The artichoke is tender and they add the perfect amount of sourness to it without excessive amount of olive. Other restaurants I have had either makes it too sour or too oily or not tender enough. And the traditional bolognese pasta greatly exceeded my expectations. It is meaty but does not taste overly rich and heavy. It is perfectly seasoned with the right amount of saltiness and with great flavor that has depth to it. I am truly impressed and immediately booked my next researvsrion
