★ ★ ★ ★ ★ OK food, however the waiters do not 'go' that extra mile to give you that special feeling that so many other places in Bologna do. The wine - a Gaya - was excellent, but from Piemonte, and not from Emilia Romagna?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a joke of a restaurant, I should have trusted negative reviews for most positive ones are probably fake or from another time when that place was a deal.
After being welcomed by a waiter who seemed to be bothered to receive more clients, we've realized how expensive food was for quantities on other tables and as compared to similar places, we've politely asked for the bill : a coca cola and a sparkling water, and were charged for cutlery even though we hadn't eaten anything, 18€ for a few sips on drinks we didn't enjoy, please don't make the same mistake we did, pick any other restaurant, but don't go to Al Papagallo...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very good restaurant indeed. The waiter was very kind and guided us through the menu. He even asked us to share a plate served on two plate - we paid only for one but the portions was like if we ordered for two. We had e vary tasty and delicious bistecca alla Fiorentina. If you like the t-bone I will decently advise you so save your appetite for the big meal that awaits you and do not order a plate of pasta before having your tasty beef. It was too much food - but really really good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is soooooo good! The portions aren't very big but the pasta is so delicious and flavorful. Definitely worth a visit! Beautiful atmosphere and great music to accompany the dining experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I walked in on a quiet Sunday evening having appreciated the effort taken outside.I was politely received and served and then I was utterly bowled over by the history and presence of this ambient eatery. The food was second to none and the wine selection…. Well there cannot be many better in northern Italy. The price is not overly expensive for such quality and style, but I cannot stress how good this place is, it deserves to be there for the next 100 years.
