A	Antonio Scalini on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tanto interessante quanto sconosciuto luogo, praticamente "sotto casa". Forse un po' sottovalutato dall'amministrazione pubblica. Peccato perché tanti turisti sarebbero disposti a pagare per visitare questi luoghi. As interesting as it is unknown place, practically "under the house". S	Salvatore Virzì on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Le Salinelle dei Cappuccini o dello Stadio, denominato così poiché sorge in una zona in cui dal 1556 al 1596 era presente la chiesa dei Frati Cappuccini, sede poi abbandonata a causa dell'insalubrità dell'aria, ha un'estensione di 60.000 metri quadrati. Il sito è caratterizzato dalla manifestazione di emissioni di gas, da numerosi fenomeni di emissione di acqua e fango con un alto contenuto salino e da un terreno argilloso. In passato le acque fangose venivano utilizzate a scopo terapeutico su persone e animali, per la cura di alcune patologie reumatiche. Romani e Arabi se ne servirono e le utilizzarono come stazione termale utilizzando i fanghi per i più svariati scopi. Nel 2016, l'area geologico-naturalistica "Le Salinelle" è stata riconosciuta come geosito dall'assessorato al territorio e ambiente della Regione Siciliana e pur avendo questo riconoscimento risulta da decenni in uno stato di abbandono anche se è stata recintata. E' un gran peccato per il territorio e per il turismo. The Salinelle dei Cappuccini or the Stadium, so called because it stands in an area where the Capuchin Friars church was present from 1556 to 1596, which was later abandoned due to the unhealthy air, has an extension of 60,000 square meters. The site is characterized by the manifestation of gas emissions, by numerous phenomena of water and mud emissions with a high saline content and by a clayey soil. In the past, the muddy waters were used for therapeutic purposes on people and animals, for the treatment of some rheumatic diseases. Romans and Arabs made use of it and used it as a spa using the mud for various purposes. In 2016, the geological-naturalistic area "Le Salinelle" was recognized as a geosite by the regional and environmental department of the Sicilian Region and despite having this recognition it has been in a state of neglect for decades even if it has been fenced. It is a great pity for the territory and for tourism.
F	Florian on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Geologisch eigentlich sehr interessant hier, doch der Ort ist völlig verwahrlost, es liegt Müll rum und der Zugang ist auch mehr oder weniger nur inoffiziell oder illegal möglich, da man durch einen verrosteten Zaun steigen muss. Definitiv nicht lohnenswert! Geologically very interesting here, but the place is completely neglected, there is rubbish lying around and access is more or less unofficial or illegal, since you have to climb through a rusted fence. Definitely not worth it!

D'altronde basta fare un giro per la cittadina per vedere lo stato di degrado assoluto in cui versa questa splendida cittadina. The place deserves 5 stars, not the context that is in total degradation. I wonder but the municipal administration where is it ???? On the other hand, just take a tour of the town to see the state of absolute decay in which this splendid town is located.

Rifiuti ovunque ed un cartello arrugginito e rovinato che dovrebbe spiegare di cosa si tratta...peccato The salt pans offer a fascinating spectacle but neglect and the non-existent enhancement of the same do not allow you to enjoy them! Litter everywhere and a rusty and ruined sign that should explain what it is ... too bad
