La locale sezione del C.A.I. lo ha migliorato ricavandone una dozzina di posti ed allestendo un'area picnic. Per utilizzare la struttura è, tuttavia, necessario chiedere le chiavi al C.A.I. visto che la stessa è solitamente chiusa.
Chi avesse necessità di un riparo di fortuna può usare il portico del vicino oratorio di san Giacomo.
