Dirty hut with various rubbish left behind by rude, very dirty pans, we passed there it was empty I would never sleep there .....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ E' un rifugio non gestito, sempre aperto, di proprietà del C.A.I. di Macugnaga che lo ha edificato nel 2008 come punto d'appoggio per gli escursionisti in cammino sulla G.T.A.
E' sicuramente accogliente e dotato di nove posti in branda, cucina a gas, stufa a legna e fontanella esterna.
Purtroppo la posizione a ridosso di una parete rocciosa non lo rende molto soleggiato ma beneficia - comunque - di una collocazione magnifica nella poco conosciuta e "selvaggia" Val Segnara.
Raggiungibile dal santuario della Gurva in circa 3 ore e 30' di sentiero bellissimo e abbastanza faticoso.
It is an unmanaged refuge, always open, owned by the C.A.I. of Macugnaga who built it in 2008 as a base for walkers on the G.T.A.
It is certainly welcoming and has nine seats in the cot, gas cooker, wood-burning stove and outdoor fountain.
Unfortunately the position near a rocky wall does not make it very sunny but it benefits - in any case - from a magnificent location in the little known and "wild" Val Segnara.
Reachable from the sanctuary of the Gurva in about 3 hours and 30 'of beautiful and quite tiring path.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tolle Schützhütte auf Spendenbasis, Gas war vorhanden, Wasser Ende August auch ausreichend vor dem Haus, sogar Licht durch Solarpannel. 9 Betten plus 1-2? Decken vorhanden. Leider soll Plastik verbrannt werden, und Glasflaschen werden 'vergessen'. Man könnte seinen Müll auch einfach wieder mitnehmen...!!! Ein Stern für ignorante Nutzer, 5 Sterne für die Hütte und die Betreiber.
Great shelter on donation basis, gas was available, water in front of the house at the end of August, even light from solar panels. 9 beds plus 1-2? Blankets available. Unfortunately, plastic is said to be burned and glass bottles are 'forgotten'. You could just take your rubbish with you ... !!! One star for ignorant users, 5 stars for the hut and the operator.
