G	Giovanni Malinverni on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Da Piateda, appena superata Sondrio si rimonta la valle seguendo le indicazioni per Agneda, se le condizioni lo permettono, ci si spinge fino alla sovrastante bella Piana. La si percorre tutta poi la strada risale con alcuni tornanti fino a portarsi sotto la diga. Qui la si abbandona prendendo un evidente deviazione a sinistra per un ponticello, per bosco di larici si sbuca sulla diga. Si supera la casa del Guardiano e si costeggia tutto il lato sinistro del lago, pervenendo in fondo a quello che resta delle case di Scais. Si riprende a salire nel bosco tra radure arrivando così all'Alpe Caronno. La si attraversa tutta fino in fondo, alla sua testata bisogna risalire un largo pendio di radi larici puntando alla evidente spalla sovrastante. Guadagnata la quale si aggira un ultimo dosso e si intravede sul costone il Rifugio Mambretti, incustodito e chiuso, quota 2.039 m. Per pernottare e ristorarsi con propri viveri, bisogna procurarsi le chiavi dal custode. Tempo di salita: 2,30 ore dalla Piana di Agneda. From Piateda, just past Sondrio, go up the valley following the signs for Agneda, if conditions permit, go up to the lovely Piana above. Follow it all over, then the road climbs up with a few bends until it reaches the dam. Here you leave it taking an obvious deviation to the left for a bridge, for larch forest you come out on the dam. Go past the Guardian's house and skirt the entire left side of the lake, arriving at the bottom of what remains of the houses of Scais. It starts to climb again in the wood between clearings, thus arriving at Alpe Caronno. Bella il logo di Scais che si trova salendo da Agneda. beautiful location on the Orobic peaks of p.zo Rodes Punta di Scais. The refuge is closed except for the winter room. F	Francesco Villa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Punto di appoggio utile per escursioni più lunghe ma anche punto di arrivo per un escursione piacevole (anche se un po' troppo al sole).Da fare preferibilmente in primavera o tarda primavera visto che la camminata è quasi tutta al sole. Useful support point for longer excursions but also arrival point for a pleasant excursion (even if a little too much in the sun).
