★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rifugio in English means shelter in the most positive way that you can think of. As soon as we arrived Deborah gave us a tour, towels and sent us to shower after a long walk. Sonia during our amazing dinner, thank you Chef, made our experience just more incredible with her kindness. Fabio is also your mountain guru. Don’t shy away from asking questions. The rifugio is situated just next to lake Barbellino with an easy/moderate ~2.5-3 hrs walk on Sentiero 305. The rifugio has also a new addition called Osteria as beautiful as the rifugio. The place has all the comforts that you can think of. Everyone is so welcoming, friendly and speak English so you can experience the Italian Hospitality in full. Highly recommend and we will back next summer.
