Un' ottima occasione per visitare anche il castello che e' splendido ed e' stato rivalutato adeguatamente The Palazzo del Principe in Muro hosts what I think is the best Christmas market in the province. Abbiamo fatto la visita guidata con la ragazza che ci ha fatto il biglietto, davvero molto preparata e brava nel raccontare durante il percorso la storia del castello, sia quella recente, che quella medievale e anche quella molto più remota della città messapica, spiegandoci nei dettagli tutti i vari reperti archeologici presenti nelle varie stanze. Da segnalare anche la vista stupenda che dà il Palazzo del principe sulla Piazza del Popolo. Beautiful palace / castle / museum, in the heart of Muro Leccese. Very well maintained and recently restored. We did the guided tour with the girl who gave us the ticket, really very prepared and good at telling the story of the castle during the journey, both the recent one, the medieval one and also the much more remote one of the Messapian city, explaining us in detail all the various archaeological finds in the various rooms. Also noteworthy is the stupendous view given by the Prince's Palace on Piazza del Popolo.

G	Giovanni Bianchi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visitato con una guida speciale (il Sindaco del paese, che colgo l'occasione di ringraziare e salutare!), è un esempio di come un edificio storico, ottimamente restaurato, sia stato intelligentemente adibito ad attrattiva turistica, con l'apertura a piano terra di un bellissimo museo sulle origini messapiche della popolazione locale ed a splendida location per eventi e cerimonie, pubbliche e private. Inoltre, al piano superiore, vi è la sede della Sala Consiliare Comunale. Tutto molto interessante e ben tenuto. Visited with a special guide (the Mayor of the village, whom I take this opportunity to thank and greet!), It is an example of how an excellently restored historic building was intelligently used as a tourist attraction, with the opening on the ground floor of a beautiful museum on the Messapian origins of the local population and a splendid location for events and ceremonies, public and private. In addition, on the upper floor, there is the headquarters of the Municipal Council Hall. All very interesting and well kept.

Recentemente ristrutturato, gode di una posizione favorevole, al centro del paese: la sua facciata dà sulla piazza, caratterizzata dalla presenza di due chiese barocche. Contenitore dalle ottime potenzialità, forse poco pubblicizzato. Visitato in occasione di un evento culturale, mi ha colpito anche per le suggestive vedute su scorci del centro storico.
