★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the entry into the medieval town of Sienna. It is a very unique and beautiful town that has great horse racing and festivals during different parts of the year. The real treasures of this town are found downtown in the Piazza del Duomo and the main town plaza.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the Gate of the city, entering inside you will see the old psychiatric hospital, a very beautiful structure with a lovely italian style garden. Currently in the building and behind the University of Siena hold spaces for the engineering section, some physics astronomy laboratories.
The gate it's quiet modern, build in the beginning of Renaissance. Today is still part of the city wall.
This is one of the gate to get easily all'orto dei Pecci, Pecci's garden with a nice special restaurant è una Place to lay down in the Shadow of a trees.
