S	Stefano Manzo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Ponte Settimia Spizzichino, da qualcuno chiamato anche il “ponte della Garbatella” è adiacente all’area dei vecchi Mercati Generali e collega la zona della Garbatella alla Via Ostiense. Il Ponte è stato inaugurato nel 2012 e intitolato all’unica donna che nonostante il trattamento inumano ricevuto è sopravvissuta alla tragica vicenda della deportazione nel 1943, dal Ghetto ebraico al campo di concentramento di Auschwitz. L’architettura del ponte è suggestiva ed avveniristica, con un gigantesco arco sospeso e tenuto da funi di acciaio e da una determinata angolazione si ha modo di vedere nello sfondo il Gazometro e si nota un certo richiamo, seppur con forme geometriche completamente diverse, per la struttura reticolare che accomuna entrambi. Le misure sono 160 metri di lunghezza e 25 metri di larghezza. Spettacolare la visione notturna con la particolare futuristica illuminazione di cui è dotato. Un plauso ai progettisti e a chi l’ha fatto realizzare, anche perché risulta molto utile per il traffico di quel quadrante. Ponte Settimia Spizzichino, also known as the "Ponte della Garbatella", is adjacent to the area of the old General Markets and connects the Garbatella area to the Via Ostiense. The bridge was inaugurated in 2012 and named after the only woman who despite the inhumane treatment received survived the tragic deportation affair in 1943, from the Jewish Ghetto to the Auschwitz concentration camp. The architecture of the bridge is suggestive and futuristic, with a gigantic suspended arch supported by steel ropes and from a certain angle it is possible to see the Gazometer in the background and note a certain appeal, albeit with completely different geometric shapes, for the reticular structure that unites both. The measurements are 160 meters long and 25 meters wide. Spectacular night vision with the particular futuristic lighting it is equipped with. A praise to the designers and to those who had it made, also because it is very useful for the traffic of that quadrant.

È attraversato da auto, moto, camion, qualche mezzo pubblico, anche pedoni, che possono percorrerlo in lungo e in largo, in quanto non ci sono traversamenti pedonali e dunque i romani non li investono (provate invece ad attraversare sulle zebre se volete rischiare la pelle), l'importante è che i pedoni siano molto temerari ed agili, come anche per la Colombo. Il ponte di per sé si comporta come un ponte qualsiasi, pur essendo abbastanza ricercato nella struttura che richiama architetture estere. I ponti sul Tevere sono indubbiamente più fascinosi.
