Per raggiungere il posto occorre percorrere una strada stretta per circa 10/15 minuti sterrata in fondo. Pecca il poco tatto della proprietaria, poca ospitalità. Per un soggiorno di due notti alla richiesta di un rotolo di carta igienica ci è stato concesso in via “ESCLUSIVAMENTE ECCEZIONALE”. La sera prima della partenza, senza nemmeno salutarci, ci è stato richiesto a che ora avremmo lasciato la casa il giorno seguente. Unica gentilezza ci è stato concesso mezzo pacco di caffè in polvere che era stato lasciato dai precedenti ospiti. Ripeto poca gentilezza e cordialità, non ci tornerò sicuramente. Very nice and relaxing place. Located on a hill in the village of Scarlino. To reach the place it is necessary to take a narrow road for about 10/15 minutes dirt road at the bottom. The lack of tact of the owner, little hospitality. For a two-night stay the request for a roll of toilet paper was granted to us on an "EXCLUSIVELY EXCEPTIONAL" way. The evening before departure, without even saying goodbye, we were asked what time we would leave the house the following day. The only kindness was given to us half a pack of ground coffee that had been left by the previous guests. I repeat little kindness and cordiality, I will definitely not return.

Ci si rende conto che flora e fauna sono i veri “host” ed abbiamo il dovere di rispettarli. È la natura che ci ospita e noi non possiamo che sentirci “parte tra le parti”, comprendendo il senso dell’unicità di questo stupendo spettacolo del quale siamo spettatori e protagonisti, senza velleità “colonialiste”. Margherita e Sergio hanno fatto di queste regole la loro filosofia. Grazie quindi a loro, che ci hanno accolto, magnifici artefici di questa splendida struttura. Poggio la Croce struck us for its position in the middle of the woods and the remarkable panorama. The concept of "ecotourism" finds its complete expression here. We realize that flora and fauna are the real "hosts" and we have a duty to respect them. It is nature that hosts us and we can only feel that we are "part of the parties", understanding the sense of the uniqueness of this wonderful show of which we are spectators and protagonists, without "colonial" ambitions. Margherita and Sergio have made these rules their philosophy. Thanks therefore to them, who welcomed us, magnificent architects of this splendid structure.

M	Mithu Sen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Simply fantastic! In the heart of Maremma and close to the sea, lies this charming hotel. The bungalows are wonderful. These are well maintained, clean, comfortable, energy efficient and modern. Surprisingly, none of the doors and windows had curtains. I would have loved curtains at least in the master bed room for intimate feeling and elegance. Each bungalow has its terrace and private garden. The complex has a pool, that is very enjoyable. The owners are friendly, courteous and ready to help. The complex is dog friendly. We took our three big dogs with us. It seemed to me that the dogs were more welcome than us!!! There are wildlife in the complex. We saw fox, a heard of wild boars and a land turtle; plenty of birds, owls, swallow and hummingbirds. The complex is in the middle of a cork-oak plantation. This is the first time we saw cork (the bark) harvesting. There are supermarkets, chemist shop, bread shop and plenty of restaurants nearby. Plenty of parking. Very good value for money even though you might think that the tariff is high. Reservation essential. We will strongly recommend the place and will very soon return. Thank you to the owners for just everything. We had great time.

D	Doug Collins on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely amazing! Our hosts were very hospitable, and the villa was exceptionally clean. Great place to unwind and enjoy great views of the countryside. Nice beach within 40 minutes and Siena is only a 90 minute drive. Wish we would have booked more than 5 days here. Family friendly - we traveled with our kids (14, 12, 8) and they loved it too.

We felt very at home and were stunned by the views. Only downside, don’t bring any work with you and try remote work here. The wireless is not always stable. All then more simply enjoy!
