★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm not sure where we went wrong as the other reviews are so good. But our pizzas were pretty terrible. So bad in fact that neither of us could bring ourselves to eat more than one slice. The sauce was really soupy and tasted like the tomato sauce you'd get in a tin of Heinz Spaghetti O's. The mushrooms weren't cooked all the way through either. Not at all what we were expecting from our first Italian pizza experience! Maybe we should have gone with the vegan pizzas?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want pizza in Venice but don't want to be tied down to an (often expensive) terrace, go to L'Angelo. It's prices are fair, about €7,50 per pizza and the service is friendly and fast. They also have a lot of delicious vegan options, which I loved. (they even make vegan cheese). When you've picked up your pizza just walk towards the grand canal and sit down somewhere while enjoying the beautiful canal of Venice and one of the best pizzas of Venice :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing NY style pizza in venice. The best pizza I've eaten in Europe. They don't have tables, only takeaway. You can order whole pizza or by the slice. They have beer, wine and champagne available to go. They are open all day and don't close for lunch. I Highly highly recommend.
