Chose here after a recommendation on a hidden gem travel website. Given a free glass of prosecco while we waited for a table which was a nice touch and very clever. The decor was very unique and set a great mood, however the food let the place down. We ordered a ravioli, a beef dish and bread as an appetiser.... We were given 8 pieces of barely stuffed ravioli, the beef was more bone than meat and the bread never arrived. Ended up walking down the road and getting a little takeaway pizza as we were still hungry. Disappointing.

This place was perfect. Yes it is small so sometimes it's booked with reservations but it is worth either making a reservation or trying to get a table anyways. The food was great, the atmosphere was amazing. The other restaurants nearby have employees who try to aggressively lure you in, but this restaurant has no need for that. Highly recommend.

On a side street, close to the Pantheon. Lots of character inside. Cod fish with tomato sauce and olives wa excellent.

Travelling alone, I chanced upon this restaurant on a busy night after walking around the Pantheon. The owner was very warm and offered me a free glass of Prosecco on the house while I waited. Food was excellent – tonnarelli cacio e peppe was bang on in terms of seasoning, flavours and texture. It was al dente and perhaps could’ve been even a toucher more al dente, but was already excellent as it was. For secondi, I had a pollo alla romana, and the sauce was out of the world. It had the fruity acidity of tomatoes, but also a velvety richness that made it coat the tender chicken pieces unctuously. I washed all this down with a glass of primitivo (their wine list was not amazing so I took what was best value for money). I was so sorry that I didn’t have the stomach for dessert. But I did get a coffee on the house, which I very much appreciated. Recommended!

The lady working there is the best!! She kept it real with us and made sure we had all our needs satisfied. The food was amazing, the meatballs with tomatoe sauce was so good and cooked perfect. The pasta cacio e pepe was to die for. The ravioli was delicious. Literally everything she gave us was so goood! You should go there for sure if youre around the Pantheon. Wish they were open all day so we could've had it around 5.

Great restaurant - great service, delicious food, with great location and cosy atmosphere. Complimentary glasses of champagne on the house. Definitely recommend this restaurant. We will visit again.

This place is fantastic, incredibly warm welcome which is matched by the beautiful food. Go and enjoy the hospitality of some lovely pepole, on the way from the pantheon to the trevi fountain. What more could you ask for. We ended up going twice we were so impressed,in the second visit I had the Jewish style fried artichoke and Roman tripe, as i fancied something a bit different. It certainly is different but still very enjoyable.

Tucked onto a side street near the Pantheon, Pietro al Pantheon offers what appears to be a traditional Roman dining experience and food. Even though the restaurant is still full of tourists, the atmosphere, the art on the walls and the mostly friendly staff made for a great experience. We called ahead the same day and secured a reservation for 20:00. The man who seats customers is friendly and engaging. Our server was not as much, but she was ok. The artichoke appetizer was good, the two pasta dishes were outstanding, and the main we ordered - veal - was alright. Pieces of veal on the bone bathed in a really tasty tomato sauce. My only problem was that there was hardly any meat on the bone. I would love to return here to try more of their dishes.
