★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La grande piazza pensile, sorretta da quattro grandi arcate, con i due palazzi pubblici era il “cuore” del governo cittadino. E’ tra le più maestose e ardite realizzazioni urbanistiche medievali, ritenuta tra le più grandi piazze pensili esistenti. Deliberati nel 1321 dai magistrati, i lavori sono iniziati tra il 1332 e il 1336 e sono terminati nel 1483, ad oggi è teatro incomparabile delle più belle tradizioni dell’autentico folclore italiano.
La piazza è il centro che unisce i quattro quartieri della città che confinano e qui s’incontrano. Il parapetto della piazza, che delimita il terrazzo, ha preso il posto di un lungo loggiato innalzato nel 1508 ed abbattuto nel 1839, mentre nel lato opposto si erigeva il neoclassico Palazzo Ranghiasci.
 The large hanging square, supported by four large arches, with the two public buildings was the "heart" of the city government. It is among the most majestic and daring medieval urban realizations, considered among the largest existing hanging squares. Deliberated by the magistrates in 1321, work began between 1332 and 1336 and ended in 1483, to date it is the incomparable theater of the most beautiful traditions of authentic Italian folklore.
The square is the center that unites the four districts of the city that border and here they meet. The parapet of the square, which delimits the terrace, has taken the place of a long gallery raised in 1508 and demolished in 1839, while the neoclassical Palazzo Ranghiasci was erected on the opposite side.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La piazza con il belvedere é pulita, ben vigilata e ordinata. La vista dal parapetto é davvero mozzafiato e permette di godere di uno degli scorci più belli dell'Umbria. Alcuni scenari sono davvero famosi grazie ad alcune serie televisive di successo ambientate a Gubbio. Vicino il belvedere é possibile trovare pizzerie e bar ben forniti ed in un contesto gradevolissimo.
The square with the lookout is clean, well guarded and orderly. The view from the parapet is truly breathtaking and allows you to enjoy one of the most beautiful views of Umbria. Some scenarios are really famous thanks to some successful television series set in Gubbio. Near the lookout you can find pizzerias and bars well stocked and in a pleasant setting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ È una bellissima piazza ed offre una bella vista. Segnalo che il muretto che dà sulla vista è piuttosto alto, spesso e pieno di spuntoni per non far sedere le persone. Sicuramente per la sicurezza è ottimo ma non è molto bello e rende un po' difficile fare le fotografie
It is a beautiful square and offers a nice view. I would point out that the low wall on the view is quite high, thick and full of spikes to prevent people from sitting. Surely for safety it is great but it is not very nice and makes it a little difficult to take pictures

Beautiful, large, wide square in the middle of the idyllic Gubbio between the Palazzo dei Consoli and the town hall. The view is great.
